The referendum for the Ufford Neighbourhood Plan took place on Thursday 26 June 2025. 209 votes were cast, with 208 being accepted (one had no markings). Of the 208 accepted, 194 people voted YES, for the Plan to be adopted. This represented 92.8% of votes cast. The Plan will now be taken before ESC Full Council on 16th July, where we anticipate it will be 'made'.
On Wednesday 20th November 2024, the Draft Ufford Neighbourhood Plan was submitted to East Suffolk Council for review.

In October this year we begun the enormous task of getting our Neighbourhood Plan Household Survey agreed and plans in place for distribution to every household in Ufford, plus a few businesses by the end of the month. In the first week in November we began to see returns roll in to the post box at the Community Hall and into the on-line system.
Ufford's Neighbourhood Plan is coming to life. We had had a successful launch and volunteers for the Steering Group met at the inception meeting on 24 June 2022. Assisted by our consultants, the members of the Group considered the What's and How's of gathering information for: Assessing how the village has evolved over the centuries, compiling a character appraisal of the built environment, involving the community, producing the plan and the things we have to do to have a 'made' plan. The 2022 Ufford Spring Clean will take place on Saturday 12th March, between 10.00am and 12.00pm. Please meet at the Community Hall Car Park (anytime between 9.30am and 10.00am) to collect bags and gloves. There will be a limited number of ‘Grab Sticks’ so please bring your own if you have one.
As you will have read on PUNCHLine, the launch meetings for the Ufford Neighbourhood Plan, scheduled for 12th and 13th January, were cancelled, due to Covid. The provisional date for their rescheduling is 6th and 7th April, however there will be full details in the April PUNCH.
